The Influence of Urban Energy Fields Cannot Be Ignore

Have you ever felt that buzz about a cozy place, but when you arrive, the comfort eludes you, and everything seems to fall apart? It could be that you’re not in harmony with the city’s energy field, making life there feel like a drain. Whether it’s hailing a cab, renting an apartment, or interacting with locals, things just don’t feel right. Even the weather; in some cities, rainy days bring a refreshing, romantic vibe, but in places where your energy doesn’t align, the same rain can make you feel low and depressed.

Reflecting on last year’s trip to Weihai, a city supposed to be delightful, but upon arrival, the weather was horrid, ruling out a beach visit. The people I encountered were difficult to converse with, and even asking someone to snap a photo felt awkward. Then, I headed to Yantai, just an hour or two away. Despite similar weather and surroundings, the experience was a complete turnaround. The whole trip flowed smoothly and was thoroughly enjoyable.

Across both Eastern and Western cultures, the concept of urban energy fields persists.

In Chinese culture, we speak of feng shui and the Five Elements theory. A city’s geographical position, the layout of mountains and rivers, and the orientation of buildings collectively shape unique energy fields. These energy fields directly impact individuals’ emotions and health. If a city’s energy field clashes with one’s Five Elements attributes or birth chart, it can evoke a sense of discomfort, making it challenging to integrate or adapt.

In Western thought, similar notions can be found in astrology and energy field theory. Astrology believes each place possesses its unique planetary energy, and individuals can use “locational astrology” to determine if a city suits their living needs. Depending on planetary positions in one’s birth chart, different locations can amplify particular planetary influences. For example, one might feel more personal growth and freedom in one location, while feeling stifled and restricted in another. This perception of a city’s energy field is tied to the interplay between local astronomy and one’s birth chart. Energy field theory suggests each place has a unique vibrational frequency, affecting individuals’ emotions and psychological states. Some cities emanate calming, low-frequency energy, while others are high-frequency and bustling, easily inducing anxiety or fatigue. If an individual’s energy doesn’t sync with a city’s energy, they may feel uneasy or irritable during their visit.

When traveling, even though you’re only in a city temporarily, you can often quickly discern if it’s a fit for you. Sometimes, just stepping off the plane gives you a subtle hint of whether the city aligns with you. This is because people’s feelings towards a city’s energy field and energy are instinctive and highly sensitive.

It’s not to say you can’t live or visit places where the energy doesn’t match, but finding a place where the energy resonates can feel more nurturing and uplifting. Such a place is more conducive to your well-being.
