Never Underestimate Someone with a Good Facial Appearance

One’s appearance is a reflection of their inner self

A person’s looks can change in response to their inner transformations. While appearance is merely external, it is the inner self that truly defines a person.
Zeng Guofan, in his work “Bing Jian,” provided a mnemonic for evaluating character:
  • To discern good and evil, observe the eyes and nose.
  • To detect truth and falsehood, look at the lips.
  • To assess one’s prospects for success, examine their demeanor.
  • To gauge wealth and honor, observe their vitality.
  • To understand their decisiveness, study their fingers and nails.
  • To foresee potential troubles, observe the tendons in their feet.
  • To discern their organizational skills, listen to their speech.
A person’s temperament and conduct are revealed through their everyday actions. As the adage goes, “Time reveals the true character,” for one’s expressions are hard to feign, and time will eventually clarify the truth.

Facial appearance can be discerned through the features

  • Ears: They should be rosy or fair, reaching above the eyebrows, with a graceful and complete outline, close to the head, and large and thick. Ears symbolize the ability to listen well; good ear features indicate a propensity to heed good advice and achieve success, while poor ones suggest a tendency to be misled and fail.
  • Eyebrows: They should be broad, with clear and long hairs, having a distinct beginning and end, smooth and lustrous, thick but not muddled, and not overshadowing the eyes. Eyebrows represent protection and longevity; well-shaped eyebrows suggest favorable circumstances and support from others.
  • Eyes: The eyes should have a clear distinction between the iris and the white of the eye, with the eyeball not protruding excessively and a concealed gaze, avoiding the appearance of having “three whites” or “four whites” visible. The shape should be slender. Eyes symbolize vigilance and discernment; attractive eye shapes indicate intelligence, stability, and nobility.
  • Nose: The bridge should be elevated, the ridge firm, the tip rounded, the nostrils full, and the color a healthy yellowish hue. The nose represents judgment and discernment; a well-formed nose suggests a person who navigates the world with ease and achieves success.
  • Mouth: The shape should be square, large, and thick, with upturned corners forming a bow shape, well-defined edges, a rosy color, and the ability to open wide and close small. The mouth symbolizes nourishment and communication; a favorable mouth shape indicates abundance in sustenance and eloquence.

Beauty is indeed a blessing

Psychological research has found that appearance is not merely innate but is a reflection of long-term mental and behavioral cultivation on one’s face.

Kind people have gentle eyes and a relaxed demeanor;

Warm-hearted individuals are always smiling, radiating a strong sense of approachability. People with a positive mindset maintain inner peace, and their countenance is calm and dignified.
The seven emotions manifest in the six desires; one’s mental state influences their behavior and appearance.

A person’s facial features often determine their destiny.

Someone who is always smiling with upturned corners of the mouth naturally has a pure and kind heart, exuding a sense of peace and harmony.
They encounter beauty and make good friends, with their path in life becoming wider and their journey smoother.
As the ancient saying goes: “If the mind is good but the appearance is not, the appearance will change with the mind; if the appearance is good but the mind is not, the appearance will fade with the mind.”
Never underestimate someone with a good facial appearance; such a person has cultivated it through their actions and mindset.
All the experiences and tolerance you have in life will eventually be refined into your wisdom and temperament, becoming your lifelong facial appearance.
Your expressions can reveal your recent state of mind, while your eyebrows can show the passage of time.
Your appearance holds the secrets of your life’s fortune.
Typically, we judge temperament by observing facial expressions, eye contact, and changes in tone of voice.
If a person has natural expressions and speaks clearly and cleanly, it indicates a noble and pure temperament.
A good facial appearance can generate positive energy that influences others and even changes the surrounding atmosphere.
Fate is shaped by oneself, and appearance is a reflection of the inner self.
A person with a good facial appearance also possesses a strong and kind heart.
To have a good facial appearance, one must first have a kind heart. Speak kindly, listen to good words, observe good deeds, and be a warm and compassionate person.
Over time, a Buddha-like visage will naturally emerge.
Cultivating a good facial appearance means possessing a lifetime of good fortune; your luck will increasingly improve.
