Pets capable of being nurtured to gain sentience- The Carp

Carp is a type of feng shui fish that corresponds to the Azure Dragon and boasts the strongest spiritual energy. It’s considered extremely yin, similar to the concept of primordial yin in the cycle of yang begetting yin.

select

This fish can serve as a substitute to ward off disasters, although doing so is seen as a rather extravagant method. When choosing a carp, those with four whiskers are the best option.

location

Ideally, it should be placed in a major sha position or at a gateway. There, the carp can absorb and emit primordial yin energy, which helps to accumulate blessings and wealth while dispelling disasters and subduing sha energy. However, it must be kept indoors; outdoor or enclosed balcony environments are unsuitable.

Take care of it

To properly raise a spiritual carp, you must start with a one-year-old fish and raise it for a full decade. Daily care is essential, including personally feeding and changing the water, as well as reciting the complete Tao Te Ching. One person can only raise one carp at a time, and the care must be consistent without interruption, or the process will fail. Mixing it with other fish is also prohibited, as doing so would prevent the carp from transcending its fish nature. It’s optimal to begin raising the carp with a child, as this can effectively safeguard one’s achievements and career. Additionally, it’s advisable not to move house during the raising period.

Here are a few important notes

①A well-raised spiritual carp can be transferred to another owner for the purpose of disaster aversion, provided the original owner consents. However, the effectiveness will be somewhat diminished.
②There are no prohibitions against raising carp if one’s business is struggling, work is going poorly, or during pregnancy.
③Arowana is not considered a spiritual pet, and its spirituality is not as strong as that of black fish. Nevertheless, black fish, due to its overly yin nature, is also not suitable for domestic raising.
